Check Out How a Cell Phone Booster Can Help You

If you own a cell phone I am sure that you have looked down at your screen and saw “no service” or see that you only have a couple of bars of reception. It is really a pain to not have a signal when you need it. You can have the most expensive one made and still run into this problem. Dropped calls, missed calls, and out of area, can all be put to an end if you invest in a cell phone booster. With a cell phone signal booster attached to your phone you will be able to make and complete those important calls without interruption. You will get better reception and a much stronger signal. No more asking “Can you hear me now?” as your signal will be loud and clear with a phone booster.

A mobile booster will help you with reception in rural areas. When traveling, it is very important to have constant service just in case of an emergency. Mobile boosters cost around $200 to $400 depending on the brand and type you choose. They can be used in your car, RV, semi-truck, or boat. You can purchase a cell booster kit that includes a signal booster, antenna, cables, and a cell cradle. Installation is simple and takes only minutes to connect. You attach the antenna to the top of your vehicle and run the cable inside to connect it to your phone. Some companies even make a wireless cell phone booster.

The cost of a wireless booster is a bit more expensive than the non-wireless type. Whichever type of booster you choose, you will be guaranteed to receive and stronger signal and more bars. You will not need to hold your phone out of the car window to get a signal anymore.

If you choose to get a cell booster for your home or office you will get quality reception and a stronger signal. Cell phone boosters in your home can cover an area of 2,500 square feet. Some companies say that their brand of phone booster will enhance your cell phones signal up to 800%. So if you live, or work in an area where you constantly receive a weak signal, a cell phone booster will end this problem. These have proved to be a valuable accessory that everyone should have.

Using Your Cell Phone in Germany

Is my cell phone Tri-Band? To find out if your phone is Tri-Band you need to contact your cell phone manufacturer, dealer or just refer to your user manual. Once you identify that your cell phone is Tri-Band you must find out if you need a separate SIM card. To find out if you need a separate SIM card for use in Germany once again you would need to speak with either the cell phone manufacturer or dealer. Most cell phones are able to send and receive text messages whether they are Tri-Band or not.

If you know that your phone will work in Germany you should find out how much you will have to pay to use it, it can be expensive if it is not a German phone. If you plan to stay in Germany for two weeks or more it may be in your best interest to just buy the cheapest cell-phone that runs off of pre-paid cards you can find. You should be able to find one for around 50 EUR at most phone shops, ie. Telekom, With a pre-paid phone you can use a normal long distance calling card by dialing 0800callatt and reach back home for a reasonable rate.

One good thing about cell-phone use in Germany is that you are not charged for incoming calls. If your friend back home has a good rate to call Germany, have him/her call you and you will not have to pay a penny.

In the very worse case scenario, if you have an emergency, you can contact the police at any time with any cell-phone, with or without a SIM card by just dialing 110. All phone service providers are configured to transmit the signal dialed from 110 even if your phone is not activated and/or does not have a card.

Accessorise Your Mobile Phone

The mobile phone is the fashion accessory of the 21st century, so it stands to reason the accessory will have accessories. There are almost as many phone accessories as there are phones to use them with, and this quick guide will cover just a few.

The add-on feature started off, some say, with the Sony Ericsson T68i and the camera you could buy separately and plug into a port on the phone. Even though the integrated camera later became a standard feature, the T68i still brings back fond memories for some people as their first full-colour camera phone.

Another popular add-on is the hands-free kit. For those of you who don’t mind looking like you’ve just been let out for the day, walking around appearing to talk to yourself is part of the appeal of mobile phones. A Bluetooth headset is even better, as you don’t have cables getting in the way.

Nowadays, phones also double up as radios. An FM transmitter is a must-have for the music freak as it enables you to transmit your tunes to any FM radio so all your friends can listen to your latest annoying ringtone. Or, if there are no radios in the vicinity, you can pull out a pair of micro speakers and turn your phone into a mini jukebox. And if you don’t feel like sharing, or if there’s nobody to share with, you can use your phone as a walkman and attach a pair of earphones instead.

Some of the more expensive mobile phones allow video recording and MP3 playlists, and for this you need a lot of storage space. The Nokia 5610 is an Mp3 phone, but as it only comes with 20MB internal memory, and the average Mp3 is 3.9MB, additional storage is recommended. MicroSD memory cards are available in 1GB, 2GB or 4GB sizes for use on phones like this, at a very reasonable cost.

Of course, not all accessories perform a specific function. If you have one of the cheap mobile phones without posh features and you just want to make it look a little more stylish or different, you can buy novelty straps, charms, covers and stick-on ‘bling’ to jazz up your handset instead.

Whichever mobile phone you have there’s an accessory somewhere to go with it. Some are specific to a particular make or model, others can be used with most handsets. Before deciding which phone to opt for, do a little shopping around to find out what accessories are available.
