Buying Cell Phone Batteries Online Vs In the Store

Buying cell phone batteries online can be a very easy as it seems, but there are some dis-advantages as well. Buying anything online can be a hassle, and you want to be careful even with sites as well known and large as eBay and or Amazon. I have known plenty of cases where people got ripped off buying from crooks on eBay. Make sure you do your research on the company or person you are buying from, if an ebay store or just any person selling on eBay, you can check there history and profile to make sure they have good feedback. Never buy from anyone with no transactions!

If you are searching on Google or Yahoo or any search engine and come across an online store, read there guidelines, return policies, shipping policies etc.. before making a purchase. Also make sure the site is secure and looks professional, although looks can be deceiving, a quick way to check if the site is secure is look for the lock in the URL box when you are on the checkout page.

I would highly recommend getting the battery from the manufacture or phone carrier’s website, you have less chance of fraud and you know the product will be genuine.

Now as far as buying a cell phone battery from the store, this would be my suggestion. First off I would check all warranty’s on the phone, usually your cell phone batteries have a one year replacement from the manufacture, so before you run out to buy a new battery check with your phone carrier. The local store will be able to look up the exact fit, model and manufacture based off your cell phone to ensure you get the correct battery.

I know when I purchase something like a phone, my box and manual always seem to get misplaced and I can never find the exact model number, but hey that is why we have local outlets and service centers. One good thing about buying from a local store is you can usually get the product on the spot without having to wait a few days on the mail.

And one last thing to check, the local service center can check out the battery to see if its been damaged or it may even be something with your phone and not your battery at all.
