So what is the basic concept of the hydrogen fuel cell? Well if you have absolutely no idea how it works, its really quite simple. Water contains hydrogen and oxygen as its chemical makeup. If you can find a way to break up the chemical bond that links hydrogen and oxygen, then you can use that hydrogen as a source of combustible energy.

Basically the process occurs by use of what is known as electrolysis. When you use two small strips of metal and charge them with electricity, then a chemical reaction occurs, and the result is the splitting of the hydrogen and oxygen off into separate atoms, detached from their original molecular state.

So if that is how simple this concept is, then why has it only just come to light in a big way now? Well unfortunately, because of the potential harm it could cause to the oil industry, it has been suppressed for a long time. In fact, the technology has been around since as early as the seventies.

Well if it works and is now available to the public, how can the average joe benefit from it? Well obviously if you can run your car partially on hydrogen, as a hybrid vehicle, then you can save yourself masses in fuel costs. Not only that but you will be cutting down your carbon emissions by a large percentage. The actual percentage depends on the type of car that you install it into, obviously a truck will still have larger CO2 emissions than a hatchback or sedan.

For someone who is interested in this technology and wants to start using it for themselves, there are a few different options. They all involve an initial investment, but it is possible to get your car converted for under $250. Lets run through the different options available. So first of all, there is the option to buy a brand new or second hand hybrid car, most large car manufacturers are now producing these. This option is obviously quite expensive, with most new hybrids ranging from $30 000 and up. Secondly there are companies who sell commercial hydrogen car kits, these are quite well put together and if you have the money are probably a very good option. Again not the cheapest method.

So what is the cheapest method then? Well the answer to that lies on the internet. A few different companies and independent engineers have created DIY guides, which allow you to convert your car to run on water by creating your own kit out of basic and very affordable materials. These kits use the same concept as the commercially produced conversion kits, but are produced at a lot cheaper costs, about $200-$250 with the instructional guide included. The only drawback of this option is that you need to have a bit of knowledge and hands on experience with mechanics in order to manage the installation.

The cheapest option for those not mechanical would be get one of the DIY guides and the parts needed to produce the kit, and then simply have your mechanic install it for you. This would still be much much cheaper than any of the other options, and you would be assured quality installation from someone who actually knows what they are doing.

For those interested in converting their car into a hydrogen hybrid that don’t want to spend too much money, then there are two main guides that I can recommend. The two top guides are Water4Gas and Run Your Car On Water. Water4Gas is more detailed but more expensive. Where as Run Your Car On Water gives you the basic guide, without all the bonuses, for half the price of Water4Gas.

By: Nick Earl

Are you looking to build a hydrogen fuel cell yourself? Is it possible to do so? Yes of course it is. I built my own DIY hydrogen fuel cell and increased my gas mileage up to 65% and I did it for less than $50!

You have to first understand that we are not going to build a device that generate pure hydrogen to run your car on water. It is not only difficult to build pure hydrogen generator but it is also more dangerous as well.

DIY hydrogen fuel cells are being used to generator hho gas by from water. It is not much difficult to generate hho gas from water as you think. This hydrogen fuel cell use little electricity from your own car battery to separate water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen. Then it combines both hydrogen and oxygen cell to generate a gas known as hho or browns gas.

This hho gas is not only safe and clean to use but it also help to increase your gas mileage. There are many people who are getting up to 75% increase in gas mileage but it depends on your driving and vehicle too. You can save thousands of dollars each and every year from this water for gas system. There are many folks still think that it is a scam but they don’t know the truth that it is not a scam at all.

You need a perfect guide to build your own DIY hydrogen fuel cell as there many guides available on internet to choose from. These DIY guides provide step by step instructions on how to build a DIY hydrogen fuel cell with useful images. With the help of these guides you can build a hydrogen fuel cell even if you don’t have mechanical experience too.

By: Katrina Cold

If you are looking for the instructions on how to build a HHO cell, you have come to the right place. It is a device that can be installed within your car or vehicle of your choice. This technology can help you to burn water with the gas. To overcome the hike of gas prices, we are in the position to find out alternative resources to run our vehicles. This is the popular technology used in the newest generation cars.

How does a HHO fuel cell work?

This technology is also known as Hydrogen fuel cell or Hydrogen generator. HHO gas or Brown’s gas is produced from this unit. It is nothing but the splitting of water molecule into hydrogen and oxygen. This hydrogen gas is found to be very powerful to boost the fuel efficiency of your car. Hydrogen gas makes the fuel to burn completely. Complete burning of the gas or diesel produces more energy than the usual output.

How to build a HHO cell?

Big car companies are producing this built in system cars with high price tag. But the cost of the built in HHO fuel cell cars is not affordable to the average middle class people. Wouldn’t it be a good news if you know how to build HHO Cell yourself? Yes, You can do this with in a budget of $150 to $200.

To build and install this device you don’t require high priced accessories. It is possible to make this unit yourself at your car garage with easily available materials at home. At most you may have to buy some additional containers, screws and bolts for some little bucks.

By: Dr. Eswararamanan VR

The idea of using inexhaustible energy sources for your automobile such as a hydrogen fuel cell car kit, is old indeed and while major established headway is yet to be done, there are various ways available in the market that guide you into running a automobile with optimum efficiency on Hydrogen gas fuel cells. Surprisingly, running a automobile on H2O would involve breaking water into its essential molecules, but Hydrogen system works on a complete different engineering science, which is used not successfully by many prototype machines as well as cars across the globe.

It’s true that petroleum and diesel have changed the way the world lies and commutes but the sharp increase in the prices of fuel makes it imperative that we look at alternatives to gasoline. Likewise, established fuel is also a major polluting agent and with the current stock of gasoline good enough to last only the next 50 odd years, the time is ripe to send it to its retirement home.

Presently the way things are shaping, it seems that switching to Hydrogen gas fuel cells is perhaps the only smart and intelligent thing to do. Fuel cells do not run on the principle of combustion and given Hydrogen’s calorific value, they yield far greater productivity with the same amount of fuel with less chance of polluting the environment. Hydrogen has been the source of energy in the universe since time memorial and hold tremendous potential for future development.

The technology behind using Hydrogen gas fuel cells in the production of traditional fuel is simple, since it just breaks and transforms membranes for generating electricity, which is then used as fuel, but then what is the most favorable way to produce the required Hydrogen? Hydrogen gas is generated by a elementary chemical decomposition reaction of water particles by electricity before letting it react with fuel cells that produce electricity that in turn keeps the automobile running. Production costs are negligible and it does not interfere with the efficient running of the automobile.

It does not call for rocket science to make a Hydrogen gas car that runs on water fuel cells and any technically adept person or even a mechanic can build on, using very average daily use tools. There is absolutely no need to mess with the basic running of the vehicle and only a elementary tweaking is needed to get your car running. You do not have to make alternations to your automobile’s or engine’s PC and it works brilliantly with just a few alterations here and there. With the addition of a fuel line heater and a small device, the mileage can be hiked up by a whopping 70-80%. The entirely re-done Hydrogen automobile is not only inexpensive but can be considered to be similar to an operational electric car without any objectionable emissions.

Although the conventional fuel automobile chucks out poisonous gases and Carbon Dioxide as by products, this alternative to gasoline car give water as an end product and gives fantastic miles to the gallon. Some insignificant sites would act as guides and try to fleece you but as some reputed internet sites have shown, the engineering science is extremely simple with only some minor modifications needed.

By: Nick Earl
